This site is just a small attempt at leaving a story for others to read. Nothing special really, just a National Serviceman, my dad, and his 1952-1958 service, 2 years with the Royal Warwickshire Regiment and a some months with the AER in the Royal Engineers at Marchwood and Egypt. He died in 2020, aged 89. He left behind a brief, and I wish he’d completed it, story of his enlistment and initial 6 weeks basic training before transfer to a unit destined for guard duty in Vienna. I have his verbal accounts of Korea, but unfortunately he didn’t write any of that down.
I hope it it of interest to somebody, which is what I believe he wrote for his few pages while aged 71 on his Word Processing Course
